Music and snowsports have been deeply connected for decades, with adventure seekers soundtracking their day out on the mountain and high altitude aprés parties taking over mountain-towns by night each season. Few places around the world define snowsport-entertainment quite like South Lake Tahoe’s Heavenly Resort. Sitting on the state-border, this idyllic winter destination offers unique Northern California vibes coupled with the gaming and party setting that Nevada is famous for. This spring will see the area’s ski by day, party by night ethos further refined with the debut of Altus Festival, a pinnacle event of Tahoe South’s Spring Loaded campaign, March 18-21, 2020.
Altus Festival will bring more than fifty of the most innovative artists and party brands from the global underground electronic music and old school hip hop landscapes to world-renowned South Lake Tahoe for four days and four nights of snow, dancing, and adventure. This multi-venue, slope-to-club experience, will see attendees take to the Heavenly Resort’s 3500-feet of vertical terrain and two terrain parks by day on to premier venues, iconic casinos and bespoke Secret Parties by night. Altus mid-mountain day parties will showcase special performances set against the stunning backdrop of North America’s largest alpine lake and the majestic Sierra Nevada mountain range that jaunts across the California-Nevada stateline.
Produced in partnership with Tahoe South, Heavenly Ski Resort, Caesars Entertainment, MontBleu and Hard Rock Hotel, the event aims to create a new home for forward-thinking electronic music fans amongst the natural beauty and luxury accommodations that Tahoe is famous for.. Festival packages, starting at $790 per person, offer music-fans a full Tahoe experience by including three-days of ski/snowboard passes and four nights of lodging at the iconic Hard Rock Hotel or Harvey’s, which are among Lake Tahoe’s premier hotels, in addition to four days of music event access. Altus has also partnered with Powder House to offer exclusive ski and snowboard rental deals to festival-goers
Aimed at showcasing the unique qualities and amenities of its host locale, Altus Festival will redefine the winter music festival concept with four days and nights of adventure in tow.
