Today, Altus Festival announced the second phase lineup for their inaugural event March 18-21 in South Lake Tahoe. Phase two reinforces Altus’ commitment to combining world-class talent with vibrant underground community collectives for an adventure-filled, fully-packaged mountain festival.

Phase two of the Altus lineup starts off strong with All Day I Dream head honcho Lee Burridge and resident Hoj, the global stylings of Yoruba Records founder Osunlade, melodic and emotive tones from Spanish DJ/producer Edu Imbernon, a 100% live set from Bay Area legend Sunshine Jones (of Dubtribe Soundsystem), a holistic sensory experience from Nick Monaco, and the iconic sounds of Hipp-E and Halo’s superduo H Foundation

The lineup extends further with Honey Soundsystem crewmember Jason Kendig, OM Records label owner and Smoke N’ Mirrors founding member Chris Smith aka Shiny Objects, and genre-blender DJs Anthony Mansfield and DJ M3 aka Makes Me Move of San Francisco’s Green Gorilla Lounge

First up for the exclusive Altus showcases, is the addition of legendary underground Chicago pioneer  Derrick Carter, headlining the Sunset Sound System takeover - a 25-year Norcal staple. Attendees will also be treated to performances by the founders Galen and Solar. Leading Burning Man institution Pink Mammoth will be decked out by founder Zach Walker with intimate melodies from Manjumasi cofounder Atish, playa veteran Matt Trujillo, and Jonathan Will of Loöq Records. XLR8R and LA-based collective Dialogue join forces to host Romanian minimal powerhouse Rhadoo, and Reno outfit House Party will feature performances from Jimmy Dirt, Chuck Tyler, Bridges and Ditsy

Heavenly Mountain Resort allows skiers and riders to experience the best of both California and Nevada terrain on one epic mountain. For three days, Altus DJs will play on the Heavenly DJ Cat by the Lakeview Lodge, which lines up beautifully against the background of the idyllic lake waters. With ski passes included in the full Altus package, fans can hit the slopes and join the DJs at this stunning on piste venue. Altus’s 6,700 square foot main stage, located at PEEK Nightclub, is complete with a world-class sound system and is Lake Tahoe’s No. 1 entertainment destination. PEEK will play host to Altus’s wide variety of house, techno, and old school hip-hop across all four days of the festival.

Altus further announced a number of unmissable night club locations, including underground hub BLU, located inside Montbleu Resort, and Hard Rock’s intimate showroom spot Vinyl. For the professional festival-goers that run on little to no sleep, Xhale Bar & Hookah Lounge will service all afterhours needs from sunset to sunrise. Finally, what is a trip to the mountains without an official après-ski option? One of Tahoe’s hidden gems, Himmel Haus German restaurant and bierhaus will host four days of music performances, brand pop-ups, Bavarian-inspired food and endless Belgian beers, perfect after a long day of slope runs.

Full festival packages are available at four price-tiers starting at $790 and include a four-day Festival Pass, four nights Lodging, and a three-day Ski Pass, so attendees can enjoy the entirety of the Altus program. A discount of 15% is available for groups of 10-20 attendees and 25% for groups of over 20. Bespoke groups over 20 people can contact [email protected] for additional info on group discounts. For local attendees looking for their music fix, GA festival passes can be purchased for $180 and $300 for VIP. From 23:59 PST on February 13 to 2:59 PST on February 16, festival-goers can apply a special 20% off Valentine’s Day promo to their ticket purchase by using the code ‘ALTUSLOVES2020’ at checkout, so spread the love!

Altus Festival is committing to creating a positive impact on the environment by teaming up with Parties4Peace, a nonprofit organization working to create a culture of peace and sustainability through music and art. A percentage of the proceeds from the festival will be donated to P4P to support their educational programs for climate action and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Festival attendees and participating artists are encouraged to reduce their carbon footprint along their travels, and leave no trace at the festival! Appreciating the natural environment where the festival will take place, Parties4Peace and Altus Festival are working together to make a positive impact for the planet.
